Playing in the lobby notice the difference between fps in the monitor and
mangohud
DESCRIPTION
Not sure if this the exact same issue as bug #527628 or nor. I'm running into a
similar problem, although I can not identify whether this is KDE-related or
MESA- (or something else entirely-related).
This is an Arch system, with a RX9070/Ryzen 5600X/32Gb of RAM.
* Twin monitor setup, main on displayport/144Hz/Freesync. Second monitor over
HDMI, no freesync
* Both monitors have associated ICM profiles with them.
Up to 6.7.x I've playing for more than a year the game The Finals. Have not
played for a week, updated Arch and installed the latest game patch. A
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update from 6.7.x (possibly 6.8.0) to 6.8.1
2. Run the game on a Freesync monitor, preferably with an ICM profile
OBSERVED RESULT
Game launches with jerky movement and vast flickering. Monitor OSD panel
reports a significant mismatch between the actual frames reported in the
monitor OSD panel and the actual fps reported by mangohud (see the first
attachment).
If, OTOH, the user pops up the game config overlay, the jerkiness is gone and
monitor OSD and mangohud fps figures match.
EXPECTED RESULT
No flickering should be visible, no jerky movement, FPS figures reported by
the monitor OSD and mangohud should match.
