[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from [email protected] --- I can confirm I have the same issue, upgraded today from 6.7 to 6.8.1. I'm on AMD 9060XT I didn't have a snapshot ready so with the help of claude I tried downgrading packages manually to find the issue. This is a summary of what I did written by claude ( reviewed to make sure it's accurate ) Seeing the same on CachyOS with an RX 9060 XT (Wayland, KWin 6.8.1): after updating, games ran at a fraction of the expected FPS, with GPU usage very low. What I isolated: - Before update: Plasma/KWin 6.7.5, kernel 7.2.9, Mesa 26.2.4, linux-firmware 20260916 -> fine. - Full update (Plasma 6.8.1, Qt 6.12.0, Frameworks 6.31.0, kernel 7.3.0, Mesa 26.2.5, linux-firmware 20261019, scx-scheds 1.1.4) -> severe slowdown. The LTS kernel (6.18.55) was also slow, so not the kernel. - Downgraded the whole update from the pacman cache -> performance back to normal. - Then upgraded only kernel 7.3.0, Mesa 26.2.5, linux-firmware and amd-ucode, keeping Plasma/KWin/Qt/Frameworks on 6.7.5/6.11/6.30 -> performance stays good. So kernel, Mesa and firmware are ruled out; the regression is in the remaining packages from that update, with Plasma/KWin 6.8.1 the main suspect (Qt 6.12, Frameworks 6.31 and scx-scheds 1.1.4 not yet tested separately). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
