oldgranola <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #8 from oldgranola <[email protected]> --- I strongly felt the need for more remote control of web browser functions: back, forward, escape, toggle full screen (F11) on the remobe input mouse screen on android. This seems to have been dropped/not supported so I experimented myself, a proof of concept/feasibility and installed it on my Moto G andoid phone. I have also put this on a motorola edge phone now, both updated android. It works very nicely controlling two Linux Mint machines LM 21.3 and LM22.3. I have used it heavily for Brave Browser, Firefox, Kodi in particular for media streaming like youtube, movies etc. I realize this is just MY environments and may not reflect functionality on other users devices. So far I have not experienced any crashes or loss of other KDE connect functions such as file sharing. Without going into detail, the files edited are: activity_mousepad.xml: the existing mouse_buttons bar is wrapped in a vertical container, with the new Esc/F11 row added on top MousePadPlugin.kt: sendBrowserBack, sendBrowserForward, sendEscape, sendFullscreen MousePadActivity.kt: click listeners for the new buttons strings.xml: accessibility labels The PC/laptop side was not modified, only the android app. I used KDE connect CLI to push to the android phones, Thank you all for that! I conclude that this means the feasibility is certainly there but I do not have the means to test it more broadly or address differing preferences on the aesthetics, screen space use, security and the like. I certainly would like to see the functionality originally proposed added to the official KDE Connect. I posted similarly via user oldgranola to the telegram channel. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
