[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #16 from [email protected] --- Still happens on Plasma 6.7.5 with an app using the GlobalShortcuts portal (Discord 1.0.165 Flatpak, push-to-talk bound to F3 through the portal dialog). Steps: hold F3, tap a letter key a few times while still holding F3, then release F3. dbus-monitor on org.freedesktop.portal.GlobalShortcuts (F3 held the whole time from 670.16 to the end of the taps): 670.16 Activated discord-push-to-talk 670.32 Deactivated discord-push-to-talk <- letter tap, F3 still held 670.58 Activated discord-push-to-talk 670.68 Deactivated discord-push-to-talk <- letter tap 670.76 Activated discord-push-to-talk 670.87 Deactivated discord-push-to-talk <- letter tap 670.95 Activated discord-push-to-talk 671.05 Deactivated discord-push-to-talk <- letter tap 672.48 Activated discord-push-to-talk (plain hold, no other keys) 674.71 Deactivated discord-push-to-talk So the portal backend sends Deactivated while the shortcut key is still physically down, which cuts push-to-talk. A plain hold with no other keys works fine. (The signals also carry timestamp 0.) MR !130 (https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kglobalacceld/-/merge_requests/130) looks like it addresses this.
