Notes context menu appears far below the widget

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Place the Plasma Notes widget on the desktop.

Enter enough text to exceed the visible height of the note.

Scroll within the note.

Right-click visible text.

Repeat at different scroll positions.

OBSERVED RESULT
The context menu can appear well below the clicked text, sometimes near the
bottom of the screen although the note is near the top. Its displacement
changes with the scroll position.

The problem becomes apparent with long notes. Short notes that fit within the
visible area behave normally. Dolphin context menus also behave normally.

EXPECTED RESULT
The context menu should open near the clicked position, independently of the
note's scroll offset, with normal screen-edge adjustment.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
OS: Arch Linux, x86_64
Session: Wayland
Plasma: 6.8.1
kdeplasma-addons: 6.8.1-1
KWin: 6.8.1
Qt: 6.12.0
Display: 1920×1080, scale 100%

INVESTIGATION AND LOCAL TEST
The affected code is in applets/notes/qml/main.qml in kdeplasma-addons.

A candidate approach maps the click into a stationary item outside the
scrolling text content and supplies that item explicitly as the popup anchor.
This suggests a popup anchoring or coordinate-mapping issue; I have not
established whether an underlying Qt issue also contributes.

I installed a locally modified Notes plugin based on version 6.8.1. Its build,
native selection checks, plugin loading and resource checks passed. After
logging out and back in, the misplaced-menu problem appears fixed on my
machine.

The local modification also includes selection behavior changes. Those should
be reviewed separately from the minimal positioning fix.
