**digiKam 9.2.0 – Translation services still failing on Windows (build
20261023T164033)**

Hello Gilles,

I have completed additional translation tests using the latest available
digiKam 9.2.0 Windows test build.

**Test environment:**
- digiKam: 9.2.0
- Build: `20261023T164033` (October 23, 2026)
- Operating system: Windows 11
- Test date: October 24, 2026
- Target language: German (`de-DE`)

The installed build matches the latest Windows test build currently listed in
the KDE download directory.

**Test procedure:**

I tested the translation function in Settings → Configure digiKam → Templates,
using an unsaved template containing:

"A red ladybird is sitting on a green leaf."

**Results:**

| Service | Result |
|---|---|
| Google | HTTP 429 – request rejected by server |
| Yandex | Unable to find Yandex SID in web version |
| Bing | Unable to parse automatically detected language |
| Lingva | No error, but the English text remains unchanged in the de-DE field
|

Lingva was additionally tested with "dog, cat, traffic light", producing the
same untranslated result.

**Additional finding:**

The automatic tagging dialog currently has no target languages selected under
"Translate tags to:". This is a separate configuration issue.

The tests were performed using the template editor's translation functionality
(AltLangStrEdit), not a complete automatic tagging workflow. No image metadata
was intentionally modified.

**Conclusion:**

None of the four available translation services produced a German translation
with the latest Windows test build.

The reported problem therefore remains reproducible in digiKam 9.2.0, build
`20261023T164033`.

Could you please confirm whether the recent translation-related fix is included
in this specific build and whether additional corrections are planned for these
services?

Best regards,
Eric Beuchel
