            Bug ID: 527764
Summary: Support "send URL" through iOS and Android share
flows; open directly in default desktop browser
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdeconnect
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: unspecified
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: desktop-application
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

This is a feature request, so I hope it's fine to ignore the bug report
template.

I miss the ability to AirDrop links from iOS to Mac. Main benefit of that flow
was how the URL would immediately open in the default browser on my Mac.

This behavior should be very easy to replicate on KDE Connect. Similar to (or
reusing the) clipboard share feature, can desktop KDE Connect optionally
receive a signal to directly open the sent URL? Then, KDE Connect could hook
into the iOS Share Sheet (and Android equivalent) to capture URLs to send in
this flow.

Or is this already possible and I missed it?

Other KDE Connect features could also hook into share flows, but this request
is specifically for the desktop app to be able to receive an "open this URL"
directive from mobile.
