--- Comment #3 from Franck Maurice <[email protected]> --- Correction to my previous comment: the Printers applet / CUPS was a false lead. The hang is intermittent, so my two clean reboots afterwards were just luck. It came back with CUPS ordered correctly and no IPP errors in the log. I captured a coredump of the hung plasmashell at logout (TimeoutStopFailureMode=abort). The main thread is stuck here: QThread::wait(QDeadlineTimer) QQuickPixmapReader::~QQuickPixmapReader() (qquickpixmapcache.cpp:664) QObjectPrivate::deleteChildren() PlasmaQuick::DialogBackground::~DialogBackground() QQuickWindow::~QQuickWindow() ToolTipDialog::~ToolTipDialog() / ToolTipArea::~ToolTipArea() main (shell/main.cpp:223) The QQuickPixmapReader thread is idle in QThread::exec() -> ppoll() and never quits. This matches bug 525727 and bug 527147 exactly: a Qt 6.12.0 regression, fixed upstream in Qt 6.12.1 (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qtdeclarative/+/777121). I think this report is a duplicate of 525727. Versions: qt6-declarative 6.12.0-2, qt6-base 6.12.0-3, libplasma / plasma-workspace 6.8.1, NVIDIA 615.78.08, Wayland. I have 2 virtual desktops, with the Pager and Activity Pager widgets in the panel. @dmrx921: do you also have the Pager widget, or more than one virtual desktop? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
