Discover displays the message “Nothing found” in some add-on categories. I took
a closer look and discovered the cause: my
`~/.local/share/knewstuff3/*.knsregistry` contained items that had been removed
from the store. Discover receives an OCS 999 error for these items and disables
the entire category. Removing these entries solved the problem for me. The log
files is in portuguese.

The curl command shows that API returns 999 for an item that does not exist

- after removing them: Discover worked 5 out of 5 launches (before: 0-1 out of
5)
- affected: CachyOS, openSUSE Tumbleweed, Fedora 44
- reason: the registry is in $HOME, so it followed me between distros
- a new user does not have the problem
