Like the OP, since update to 6.8.0 (also present in 6.8.1) any full screen application (including login screen) shows horizontal flashing white banding once the mouse cursor becomes hidden. Moving the mouse to display the cursor clears the problem until the mouse becomes hidden again. Then the banding restarts. I'm generally using a software cursor (KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR=1) although changing to a hardware cursor changes nothing. Claude suggested KWIN_DRM_NO_DIRECT_SCANOUT=1 and KWIKWIN_DRM_USE_MODIFIERS=0 with no effect. I'm also using radeon.dpm=0 radeon.runpm=0 as kernel parameters to make wake from sleep work, although removing them makes no difference (apart from making wake flaky).
