            Bug ID: 527961
Summary: HTML mail: font-family/font-size dropped from
                    following paragraphs with identical formatting
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kmail2
      Version First 6.8.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Debian unstable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: composer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

Version: KMail 6.8.2 (26.08.2) in Kontact, kpimtextedit 26.08.2,
messagecomposer 26.08.2, Qt 6.11.2, Debian forky/sid

Steps to reproduce:
1. HTML signature (or composer text) with several paragraphs that all use the
same font, e.g. every line as
   <p><span style="font-family:'Calibri'; font-size:11pt;">...</span></p>
2. Compose a new mail with it, send it, view the text/html part.

Actual (excerpt of the sent HTML):
  <p ...><span style="font-family:Calibri;"><span
style="font-size:0.92em;"><span style="color:#000000;">First
line</span></span></span></p>
  <p ...><span style="color:#000000;">Second line</span></p>
  <p ...><span style="color:#000000;">Third line</span></p>
Only the first paragraph carries font-family/font-size. Recipients see the
first line in Calibri 11pt and the rest in their default font and size, while
everything looks identical in the composer.

Expected: every paragraph keeps its font-family/font-size.

The clean-HTML export probably only emits font properties when they change
relative to the previous fragment, but closes the elements at every paragraph
end without reopening them.

Related: the first line of an inserted signature takes the character format
of the insertion point. With a signature without any font properties, the
first line was sent as <span style="font-size:0.83em;"> while all following
lines had no size. Workaround: start the signature with an empty line.
