Stock 26.08.2 still freezes with six concurrent requestConversation calls over 200 threads: no answer on D-Bus, zero CPU, main thread waiting on a futex. With the patch the same test passed three runs out of three. All 200 conversations loaded in about 33 seconds each time, nothing timed out, and the worker threads went away afterwards instead of piling up. Thanks to Sharad for tracking down the cause.
