Bug ID: 528097
Summary: smb4k kerberos mounts fail
Classification: Applications
Product: Smb4k
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Kerberos mounts with smb4k fail with `Executing an action with root privileges
failed: Forbidden mount options were passed.`
kerberos mounts with `sudo mount -t cifs //server.name/share /mnt/test -o
sec=krb5,cruid=$(id -u)` work as expected on the same machine, so the
underlying mount command seems to be working.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Setup linux machine, join it do active directory with winbind
2. Provide a file server in the same active directory
3. open smb4k
4. Enable Network/Advanced/Enable kerberos
5. Enable Mounting/enhanced settings/security mode/Kerberos-5 authentification
6. Go to network browser and find the server
7. Try to mount a share
OBSERVED RESULT
Mounting fails with `Executing an action with root privileges failed: Forbidden
mount options were passed.`
I can reproduce the issue on both Debian 13 stable, as well as on openSUSE
slowroll.
EXPECTED RESULT
Share should mount without error message
