--- Comment #2 from Cherkah <[email protected]> --- +1 for this request. Discover's current behaviour is restrictive when it comes to managing system updates on an ad-hoc basis. A concrete example: the Plasma 6.8.2 update is available today (November 1st, 2026) in the Fedora repository. If I deselect it and then refresh Discover, that choice is not remembered; the update icon reappears in the notification area, even after a reboot. Consequently, there is no way for a user to say "I am aware of it and I'll handle it later" without being constantly prompted. A "postpone" feature ( or at the very least, ensuring that a deselected item remains deselected) would resolve this issue. It would also spare users from having to alter their update settings in the scheduling KCM just to work around the situation. That would provide a safeguard against faulty system updates for those who prefer to verify them before installation. Another issue concerns dependency conflicts detected by dnf. Example: an update for libheif is offered (involving 5 packages), but libheif-freeworld (from RPM Fusion) is not yet compatible. Dnf provides a detailed message explaining that the update cannot be installed. Discover, however, simply lists the update as available. A user who accepts the update without verifying it via the terminal risks encountering a failure or, in the case of more critical packages, even a broken system. In my case: I intend to install Fedora 45, expected in a few days (starting November 3rd), alongside Plasma 6.8.2/6.8.3, and I would like to defer my system updates via Discover for one week (while still allowing Flatpak updates to be installed as usual). This would help ensure greater system stability SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS: Operating System: Fedora Linux 44 KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0 Qt Version: 6.11.2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
