Bug ID: 528161
Summary: Pointer offset grows from top-left when mirroring a
125%-scaled screen (krdp 6.8.2)
Classification: Plasma
Product: KRdp
Version First 6.8.2
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
With the krdp server display at 125% scale, sharing the existing screen (not
virtual monitor) maps the pointer incorrectly. Near the top-left it’s accurate,
and the error increases toward the bottom-right, so clicks miss the bottom
panel entirely
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Server display scale set to 125%
2. Enable Remote Desktop with “lock screen and present virtual screen”
unchecked
3. Connect from Remmina on another machine on the LAN
4. Move the pointer toward the bottom-right and try to click the panel
OBSERVED RESULT
The click position drifts proportionally from the visible cursor. Panel clicks
fail. Clicks near the top left of the screen (e.g. Firefox tabs) still work.
EXPECTED RESULT
The click lands under the cursor.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Works correctly when the server display scale is 100%.
- Works correctly at 125% when “lock screen and present virtual screen” is
enabled.
- So the problem appears limited to pointer mapping in mirror mode with
fractional scaling. It may be using physical size where it should use logical
size, or the reverse. The 6.8.2 scaled-screen pointer fix doesn’t seem to cover
this path.
