Bug ID: 528168
Summary: Wireless mouse pointer movement not synced with
monitor frame rate when pointer acceleration is
disabled
Classification: I don't know
Product: kde
Version First unspecified

Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR

Target Milestone: ---
Hi,
I have been having issues with wireless mouse pointer movement not being in
sync with the monitor frame rate when pointer acceleration is disabled.
I have tested with different monitors with 144Hz & 60Hz native frame rates. I
did test with both Bluetooth & WiFi mode [400, 800, 1600] and the results are
the same. The de-sync is much more visible in Bluetooth mode than in WiFi mode.
The de-sync is also comparatively much less in GNOME compared to Plasma.
The point to note is that there is no de-sync in Niri, Hyprland, so I don't
think this is an issue with the hardware.
On Windows, the mouse pointer works fine, with/without pointer acceleration.
Steps to reproduce: 1) Go to mouse settings, disable pointer acceleration.
OS: CachyOS
Mouse: Razer Deathadder V2 X Hyperspeed
GPU: Nvidia 3060Ti
I don't have a different wireless mouse to test. Please test in your PC & give
feedback so that I can open a bug report. Thanks so much for the help.
