Bug ID: 528292
Summary: Mosaic Create Jobs does not apply planner Twilight /
Repeat completion settings to generated jobs
Classification: Applications
Product: kstars
Version First 3.8.5
Reported In:
Platform: Ubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
Mosaic Planner page 4 (Repeat / Twilight) is ignored by Create Jobs.
completionSettings are computed but not passed into setAllSettings. Generated
jobs often stay Sequence without Twilight. Mosaic <FinishRepeat> is metadata
only.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Framing -> mosaic -> Create Jobs with Twilight and/or Repeat > 1 on the
planner page.
2. Inspect generated .esl job CompletionCondition / Twilight flags.
3. Optionally edit UI before Apply.
OBSERVED RESULT
Jobs lack expected Twilight / Repeat; manual double-click + Apply required.
Create Jobs also removeAllJobs() (wipes queue) — related UX footgun.
EXPECTED RESULT
Generated jobs match planner completion settings.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KStars 3.8.x; framingassistantui.cpp createJobs (completionSettings not passed
to setAllSettings).
Terrain NGC 6992 Aug–Sep 2026.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Not bug 527026 (misleading twilight message when nothing is schedulable —
FIXED).
Workaround: edit each job + Apply after Create Jobs.
