I take it from your words that bug 436318 is indeed fixed and Plasma-wayland session-restore does work under normal circumstances. If that is so, I suggest to let 436318 rest in peace now and to better file separate bug-reports for newly surfacing problems with session-restore. Let's not make this one a never ending story.
