            Bug ID: 377737
Summary: Feature Request - "Staggered Centered" option for new
                    window position.
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]

  Target Milestone: ---

I've been meaning to suggest this for a while.

There are several options for the position of new windows when they're opened.
I personally prefer new windows to be centered on screen, but when you open
multiple instances of the same window, they open exactly on top of one another,
so you can't access a bottom window without first dragging the new window out
of the way. Opening multiple Dolphin instances is a common example I run into.

My suggestion is to add a new setting "staggered centered".. so they don't open
EXACTLY centered, but are offset in a random direction by a few pixels.

This would be useful so you'd have some small area to click on the underlying
window without having to drag the top window out of the way.

Sort of like this: http://i.imgur.com/RaPwXJz.png

Still mostly centered, but not 100% centered every time. Thanks
