Example of the bug when choosing a wallpaper
For me KDialog does not show all image previews, although Dolphin does.
I've attached a photo proof to this post.
It happens regardless of icon size. What it may be related to is image size;
the affected images whose previews are not displayed are 4 MiB, 7.3 MiB and 7.9
MiB large.
