            Bug ID: 360478
Summary: Desktop widgets are permanently repositioned when
                    fullscreen games lower display resolution
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.5.5
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
          Reporter: sonichedgehog_hyperblas...@yahoo.com
                CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

If you run a fullscreen game which changes the resolution of your monitor to
lower values, all widgets on the desktop will be permanently resized and moved
to the upper-left corner of the screen. This is a major annoyance, as any
fullscreen application can permanently break your widget setup and require you
to manually position everything back.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set your screen resolution to the standard value in your display options
(eg: 1920 x 1080).
2. Place multiple widgets on your desktop, ideally at each corner of the
screen.
3. Run a fullscreen game that changes your monitor's resolution to something
lower (eg: 800 x 600).

Actual Results:
Once you exit the game and the resolution is changed back to normal, the
widgets remain shrunken down and crowded in the upper-left corner of the
screen.

Expected Results:
Either plasmoids should not be automatically rearranged when applications
temporarily change the resolution (the user doesn't explicitly change it in the
display settings) or each widget's position should be permanently remembered
per resolution.
