            Bug ID: 399064
Summary: Retry camera connection, get Attempt to insert null
                    action
           Product: digikam
           Version: 5.9.0
          Platform: RedHat RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Import-UMS
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: dtvjho...@comcast.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
iPhone 8Plus detected, but being told Failed to connect to the camera. Clicking
the Retry button on the camera window spits out
QWidget::insertAction: Attempt to insert null action
to the tty used to start digitkam. Full text sent to that window is pasted
below.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect iPhone via USB. Becomes visible to lsusb
2. Start DigiKam from an xterm. It auto-recognizes the phone is there.
3. Go to Import menu, click. Menu has an item for the iPhone. Click that.
4. Camera window appears. Get error message that 'camera' failed to connect.
Huh? Some comms occurred for it to appear in the menu in the first place.
5. Click the Retry button in the window. Nothing happens. Frustrating.
6. Grabbed stdout/stderr output sent to the window.

OBSERVED RESULT
App says Failed to connect to Camera, in a red banner that runs across bottom
of camera window. This is in spite of the app actually detecting the phone
(which requires a working connection) and putting the phone in its import menu.

EXPECTED RESULT
No error. App should load images sitting on Camera.
Retry button should do something and not generate a QT error.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version: qt-4.8.7-32.fc27.x86_64

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Using a Fedora 27 workstation install on a Dell D630 laptop with 6GB RAM. Only
major app running. SWAP not being used. Versions of KDE and components will be
current as of today.

Please move this bug to the proper queue/component.
