The file *.kdenlive are xml files ( a text file) that describe as the project
is constructed. So it is not a video or an image.
You need to render the project in a video file ( mp4, mkv ...) to see an image
of the video as an icone.
With your KDE config, you can associate the extension .kdenvile with the
application kdenlive, and the files with extension kdenlive appear with the
logo of kdenlive.
