            Bug ID: 412372
Summary: Image editor view is expanded to 100% and shows only
                    partial amount of picture
           Product: digikam
           Version: 6.3.0
          Platform: macOS Disk Images
                OS: macOS
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: ImageEditor
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: henk.deb...@telfort.nl
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When opening the image editor from the opening screen, the view expands
immediately to 100% and the image left hand top corner is displayed only. This
cannot be undone. This renders the program unusable.

My system is iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5", 2017), 8GB, Radeon Pro 560 4GB. This
problem started originally in version 6.2.0 but then only with specific editing
tools (like white balance or BCG). Now it happens directly when opening the
editor. It is absent in version 6.1.0.

Also in version 6.3.0, the background view of the standard screen expands to
100% when opening the preferences window from the menu. This preferences window
remains visible in normal view, but again, this cannot be undone. This was not
a problem in version 6.2.0 nor version 6.1.0.

The program must be terminated to restore normal view. I have removed the
program and reinstalled version 6.1.0.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Digikam
2. Select image from any folder
3. Click image editor

OBSERVED RESULT
Exploded view which cannot be used for editing

EXPECTED RESULT
Normal view which can be used for editing and can be zoomed in any particular
size.
