The guides are interfering with the drawing tools. For example, I want to find
the center of my canvas and then draw something there. If I put guides that
mark the center, then I cannot actually put anything at the center because as
soon as I move my mouse pointer there, it deactivates my tool and activates the
tool for moving the guide underneath. This makes guides completely useless.
