SUMMARY
Digital audio provided by S/PDIF is affected by delays unlike analog audio. The
audio system waits for some instants before to run since the beginning, or
subsequently, just after some instant in which it has deactivated itself
because of audio source absence, when it is newly invoked from any audio
source.
An inconvenient occurs in the phase if turning on and turning off the digital
audio system highlighted by a typical booting noise.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. make available a digital audio system;
2. run audio from any sound source;
3. observe the delay.
OBSERVED RESULT
the audio is prevented to start immediately from delay.
EXPECTED RESULT
the audio is not prevented to start immediately.
