Maybe we're setting it wrong somehow... What does ~/.local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log say? If you have debug logging enabled it should have a message like "Setting rgb range: Full" And possibly a "Atomic test for CommitMode::Test failed!" with a bunch of numbers below it.
