Bug ID: 444283
Summary: Time remap feature works in project monitor, but
renders black (Windows)
Product: kdenlive
Version: 21.08.2
Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Video Display & Export
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
The "time remap" feature appears to work in the project monitor, but when the
time-remapped video is rendered, I just get blackness.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start kdenlive.exe, standalone 21.08.2 version.
2. Project -> Generators -> Counter; save the clip somewhere.
3. Drag clip to timeline; verify it works in project monitor.
4. Right-click on the clip in the timeline, select "time remap".
5. Add a few keyframes, speeding the clip up, and then back down to 100%.
6. Verify the playback is altered as expected in the project monitor.
7. Click "render", choose MP4-H264/AAC, choose the path, click "render to
file".
8. View the rendered video.
EXPECTED RESULT
I should see the counter clip play, with speed altered by step 5.
OBSERVED RESULT
The rendered video appears to be the correct length (shorter than the original,
un-time-remapped clip), but it's just a black square.
"About" says using MLT version 7.1.0. Libraries tab says KDE Frameworks 5.86.0;
Qt 5.15.2; the *windows* windowing system.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 11
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have two monitors; one is high-DPI (4k, set to 150%).
