SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add video clip (e.g. ~/Videos/vid.ogv) to timeline, right click and change
speed using the context menu (to e.g. 80%)
2. Save project and exit kdenlive
3. Move clip to a different location (e.g. mv ~/Videos/vid.ogv
~/Videos/Project1/vid.ogv)
4. Reopen kdenlive project. A warning about missing clips will show up, giving
an option to search recursively for missing clips.
OBSERVED RESULT
After clip(s) have been found, clip speed effect is lost.
WORKAROUND
Manually editing .kdenlive file (search and replace vid.ogv to
Project1/vid.ogv.
In newer versions (tested with 21.08.2 snap) this works as intended. Version
19.12.3 is however still the newest version in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS repositories.
