Somehow, I got the dreaded "korners" after a recent upgrade, despite not having
them before. The workaround that worked for me:

1. Go to "System Settings > Workspace Behavior > Desktop Effects"
2. Disable "Background contrast" checkbox
3. Click the "Apply" button

Some people say that they also had to disable "Blur" (in the same section of
"System Settings"), but for me, the "korners" have gone away even with "Blur"
enabled. I'm using theme "Breeze Dark" for everything.
