Unfortunately, not much we can do about it, given the current state of event
handing in QtQuick. However, they (Qt folks) are working on a fix for
MouseArea::hoverEnabled to be applied and reset `containsMouse` property
immediately, so hopefully a similar approach would fix cursor updates next as
well.
