            Bug ID: 460887
Summary: Automatic rebuild of Sycoca cache on corruption
    Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
           Product: frameworks-kservice
           Version: 5.99.0
          Platform: Archlinux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

Plasma did not get started (from SDDM), instead it got stuck (Plasma was
aborted) while still displaying SDDM. There was no useful error message or
solution provided.

I had to manually search for an error message. It stated that the Sycoca cache
is corrupted. I fixed it by manually calling "kbuildsycoca5 --noincremental" to
rebuild the cache.

Feature request: Automatically rebuild the Sycoca cache if it is corrupted
instead of only printing an error message. This way the user would not even
notice that the cache was corrupted, in contrast to not being able to start
Plasma and not knowing why.
