Thanks for your comment. That helps. I have had this issue for years and it is not resolved. Maybe those other bug reports will help. I also think you are right about a large ~/.local/share/user-places.xbel being part of the problem. Mine is currently 14617 lines. It has thousands of kdeconnect entries in it.
