Screenshot showing volume "T7" in Dolphin but nothing in the applet

SUMMARY
Disks & Devices panel opens but is empty after attaching a USB drive.

OBSERVED RESULT
1. Attach a USB drive.
2. Disks & Devices panel opens and shows *no entries*.
3. When the disk is mounted successfully, still Disks & Devices is empty.

See in the attachment that Dolphin shows a removable disk T7, while the applet
shows nothing.

EXPECTED RESULT (which I had for several months previously)
1. Attach a USB drive.
2. Disks & Devices panel opens and shows the progress of mounting the device.
3. When the disk is mounted successfully, it appears in the panel with a button
to unmount and remove.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu Studio 22.04
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.7
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have tried this with two different removable disks, same problem with both.

The disk does appear in Dolphin, in the left side panel, and I can
unmount/remove from there. So it isn't critical.

But, the panel was exhibiting reasonable behavior, and it has changed to
something unreasonable (if the panel is just going to be empty, then there is
no reason to open it). I presume a recent update pushed out from the Ubuntu
Studio 22.04 repositories caused this, but I'm not sure how to identify which
one.
