Bug ID: 470686 Summary: Draging photos from thumbnail view to folder doesn't work Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.0.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Albums-MainView Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: b...@bertenselena.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I used to be able to drag a single or multiple photos from the thumbnail view to a folder in the album tree view. But with the 8.0.0 Appimage I can't anymore STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1 Select a photo in the middle pane (thumbnail view) 2 Drag it to a album in the left pane (album tree view) 3 Release it OBSERVED RESULT There is a little no access symbol next to the mouse cursor (which is a hand symbol then) And I can't release the photo on the folder. EXPECTED RESULT The selected photo is moved to the selected folder SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Ubuntu 23.04, Digikam Appimage dowloaded from the digikam website Linux/KDE Plasma: not reported (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: not reported KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It is not a file system write permission issue. When I use the right mousebutton on the selected photo and cut, I can paste it into the target folder without any problem. It is just the drag and drop that seems to be going wrong. Note: I'm not sure about the component. This requires a bit more insight in the buildup of digikams internals, I guess. I wouldn't set this as a mandatory item for User bug reports to be honest.
