            Bug ID: 474908
Summary: [5.27.8] Black screen on second display
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.27.8
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: jeanmichael.celer...@gmail.com
                CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

Seems to be exactly the same issue that
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353975 but it says to open a new issue so
here it is.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect second monitor

OBSERVED RESULT
A black overlay prevents any meaningful interaction.

- The mouse cursor is there
- I can move windows there
- I can see my cursor change when I hover the windows, e.g. it becomes a caret
if I am hovering a text field so the compositor knows the window is there.

But I can't actually see anything

If I reboot it works normally.

EXPECTED RESULT
It works normally if I reboot or not.
