Bug ID: 478316
Summary: Add option to sort by file type
Classification: Applications
Product: gwenview
Version: 23.08.1
Platform: Kubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
A common use case is to have one raw-file and one JPEG-file of each picture.
Each picture-pair share the same name, but different file extensions (e.g.
IMG_1234.JPG and IMG_1234.RAW). If you sort by name and browse through a
directory like this you get to see each picture twice.
It would be nice to be able to sort by file type to avoid this. The files
within one type should be sorted by name, just like Doplphin. This feature
would of course also respect if Dolphin sorts by type and do the same in
gwenview.
This workflow is possible on some other OS and it would be a nice addition to
gwenview.
