I have a laptop with an external monitor over HDMI to my left, so I chose
"extend to left" when the dialog automatically appeared. But it extended to the
right, so I went to the systray "monitor configuration" applet and enabled
"extend to the left".
Now the monitor is black, only the main monitor is showing.
Then I switched to "extend to the right" and the popup appeared on the other
side, just above kickoff, still on the main screen, no changes to the screen
layout, monitor still black

Those logs only indicate stuff about the applet, not about the monitor config
not doing anything I think.
The applet showing on the left when using "extend to the right" and appearing
normal when using "extend to the left" is reproducible.
