--- Comment #1 from [email protected] --- Similarly, with Plasma 6.0.3 on Arch, searching seems to be case-independent, but if the case does not follow the case of the previously searched string, then the prediction displays in a different case to the string currently typed. E.g when entering a search "KONS" the prediction in the background might be "konsole" which means the different cases overlap each other and it looks broken and is hard to read. I would say the only prediction text that should be shown are the letters after the end of the typed text, i.e. for a search string "KONS" the prediction should add only "ole" to the end.
