Bug ID: 490982
Summary: Allow reordering of Bluetooth device list
Classification: Plasma
Product: Bluedevil
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS: All
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: system tray
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
At the moment, the Bluetooth device list shown both in the System Settings app
and in the system tray applet is, as far as I can tell, somewhat arbitrarily
ordered; a mix of pair order and device type? Not really, but I can't quite
understand the logic behind it.
This means that, with more than 8 or 9 devices, you always have to scroll up
and down to find some devices, even if they're your daily-driving headphones,
mouse, etc.
In bug number 489245[1], someone suggested having devices ordered by "last
used/connected". While that would certainly be rather useful and a serious
upgrade, I'd wager that allowing users to reorder the entries as they see fit
would be very powerful too.
Perhaps you could select between a manual, fixed selection and a dynamic sort.
