here's what I saw:

- there's several Xwo.spec files, where X.spec also exists, which causes
installation trouble. From previous experience, I believe Xwo.spec should
not be delivered nor installed.

- I again saw the issue with user adrig(?) that I reported earlier.

- once I'd managed to install, the path to libsunmath was missing, I had to
manually add it to startkde (outside of /opt/foss!) (interestingly, this
isn't present either in 4.0, but somehow works nonetheless...)

- when I could finally start kde, this happened:
+ my previously 8 workspaces were reduced to 1
+ no apparent window manager (I no borders, not title bar ...)
+ most aplications I'd asked KDE to remember didn't start, but that may
be related to something in the (library) path - see libsunmath, above.

I 'zfs rollback'ed to previous bits (from August, I think), which I'm
running again (to my satisfaction - KDE is so much more performant than
GNOME!).
