Even after de-installing all CSW software, firefox still does not start. SHELL START paul at e4500:~$ which firefox /usr/bin/firefox paul at e4500:~$ echo $PATH /usr/bin:/usr/sfw/bin:/usr/gnu/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/ucb:/usr/openwin/bin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin paul at e4500:~$ firefox& [1] 12901 paul at e4500:~$ Segmentation Fault - core dumped
Oh no! /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin just dumped a core file. Do you want to debug this ? You need a lot of memory for this, so watch out ? [y/n] fg firefox y /usr/sfw/bin/gdb /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin core GNU gdb 6.3.50_2004-11-23-cvs Copyright 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc. [...] This GDB was configured as "sparc-sun-solaris2.11"...(no debugging symbols found) Core was generated by `/usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin -UILocale -contentLocale'. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. Reading symbols from [...] [...] elfread.c:367: internal-error: sect_index_rodata not initialized A problem internal to GDB has been detected, further debugging may prove unreliable. Quit this debugging session? (y or n) y SHELL END The same happens with a fresh user account. And all was well before I installed CSW pkgs. I know that in theory the CSW pkgs are completely independent from the rest of the system, but sadly it comes up, they're not ... :/ Any idea? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
