The dot is an idication from KBabel for space. We don't insert it. Which is nothing more than the line under menu entries in an application. You can then select Alt+thatcharacter as a shortcut to run that command/entry form the menu. You have to assign the & sign to your translation too and then check it with the accelerator check from the tools menu from KBabel to see that you don't have any duplications in a menu.
