not with git, because the way I wrote it those "old files" may actually be a different branch. so it aborts to avoid doing weird things. the lazy way out would be to just use some extra disk space and have separate workdirs for separate branches (I've never done that before, though, so thiago would have to explain how it works). -- This message brought to you by eevil bananas and the number 3. www.chani3.com
