There's another reason to strive for consistency: Tools
like kdesrc-build allow to specify a branch globally for
all modules; different naming conventions per module make
this more work.

Personally I'd go without the prefix just because it
matches up better with our usual parlance of talking
about "the 4.6 branch" etc.
