When you say "rendered" do you mean render in Kdenlive terms - IOW encoded output? Or, did it manifest only in the preview monitor? Also, I do not have many AVCHD clips suitable for testing A/V sync. Can you kindly upload one to dennedy.org via anonymous FTP? login as userid 'anonymous' and your email address as password. The FTP server only provides write-only access, which might confuse a GUI tool, but give it a try.
