That may be a KDE bug fixed in latest versions. I am currently using qt3 version 3.3.6 and kdelibs 3.5.6 and no crash. Can you check your QT and KDE version and update them if you don't have the latest version ? You can find apt sources for latest KDE on http://www.kubuntu.org ) Otherwise, there may be something corrupt in your ~/.kde/share/config/kdenliverc file.
