on attempting to download pop email from my BSD server(dovecote) KMail displays
in the status bar:
[time] transmission for account $account_name complete. 13 messages in 1 KB.
then immediately pops up a timeout dialog without downloading any mail.
KMail in KDE3.5.8 has no problems connecting to the same server.
dovecote reports that I log out immediately after login.
