Until recently I was able to mark a message as <anything> I chose from the
menu. Now after I have read a message and I want to mark it as new or unread it
ignores my efforts.
I've tried both with the mouse and via the menu with the same result. This
includes important and action item. I have a shortcut <Ctrl>+i which marks it
as important which does not work either.
However if I try to mark a thread it takes just fine.
I've tried a number of different folders including the inbox.
The change is fairly recent, probably inside two to four weeks.
