Thomas, in Bug 167801, you mentioned that you tried reproducing this using
gmail's IMAP feature. Perhaps there is a problem with other IMAP servers that
gmail has solved. I don't know what IMAP server we are using locally, but it
is almost certainly not the MS exchange server - I could find out if that
helps.
Also, I was using connected mode, not disconnected mode. I see some people
have the problem with disconnected mode as well.
